I grew up convinced that there was one, narrow path to success — get an Ivy League education, work for a Fortune 500 company, climb your way up the corporate ladder, make bank like a bo$$. I followed this path diligently, to the delight of my parents.
So, I graduated from Cornell University, snagged a job at Yahoo, and began post-grad life in the heart of Silicon Valley. But after about a year, I found myself turning into a corporate zombie. I was entangled in workplace drama and enthralled by superficial status. I woke up every day to expend energy on things that didn’t really matter.
I focused on discovering my true happiness — by finding fulfilling work, checking items off my bucket list, and defining my own version of success.
And so, Scratch the List was born.
